Federal agents arrested a suspect who allegedly engaged in some vandalism of a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado.
According to Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Special Agent Katrina Alconaba, the suspect police arrested, spray painted "Nazi" on a charging station and lit some small fires in the parking lot at a Tesla Dealership.
Because the suspect allegedly used "molotov" cocktails to start the fires, they have allegedly broken federal gun laws because molotov cocktails are regulated like a firearm by the feds.
The feds have level a three-count indictment against the defendant. Two of the charges are for the same crime, possession of an unregistered firearm (destructive device). The third charge is for malicious (attempted) destruction of property.
If convicted of counts one and two, defendant is looking at 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. If convicted on the third count, defendant will get no less than five years in prison.
According to the cops, the defendant has no prior criminal record, but now they're throwing the book at them for lighting a couple of fires in a parking lot, and, some spray paint?
President Donald Trump has said that anyone who vandalizes a Tesla dealership is a "domestic terrorist" and can be deported to El Salvador to serve their prison sentences.
There are several cases in the federal courts involving defendants charged with felony gun charges for engaging in vandalism of a Tesla dealership.
The suspect has no prior record. Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms are charging the defendant with federal firearm charges for allegedly deploying molotov cocktails at Tesla dealership
If the cops aren't lying, this is a good example for what not to do if you don't want to get arrested.
