The Base Member Nathan Weeden Gets 26 Months in Prison

17 August 2024

The Base member Nathan Weeden was convicted in federal court for hate crimes involving the desecration of a Jewish synagogue in Michigan. Weeden has now been sentenced.

Federal prosecutors were asking for 36 months in prison for Weeden. The judge handed down 26 months to Weeden, following by 3 years probation and to pay restitution to the synagogue.

Weeden tried to get a lighter sentence. He claimed that he's a changed man now. He's married. He graduated from college, and he put away his hateful ways. He even got a person from his Catholic church and his wife to write character letters to the court.

It didn't help much though, the judge gave Weeden more than 2 years in prison. In total, Weeden was sentenced to 36 months, but the two sentences will run concurrently. Weeden had been remanded until sentencing, so maybe he gets some time served points there, I don't really know.

This The Base member is now convicted felon.
