I found this ad in the Imperial Valley News in the 9 November 1923 edition.

I was curious about what ever happened to J. Jessop and Sons and that big clock. Well, it turns out the business remained in San Diago until 2018 when Jim Jessop decided to retire. The family business operated in San Diego for 125 years.
The big clock was built by Joseph Jessop, who was inspired to build it after a trip to Bern, Switzerland. Jessop finished building the clock in 1907. The 22-foot clock is listed as a San Diego Landmark.
According to this Sand Diego Union-Tribune story from 2023 the clock is in temporary storage while it awaits restoration and put on display at the San Diego History Center.
This 22-foot clock has been in storage and expected to be reinstalled in Balboa Park in 2028. It's a San Diego landmark.
